With Spring Queen, Rose & Holly - feeling ecstatic

ECSTATIC - Yes, I am totally over the 9th cloud seeing my dream project - Spring Queen, Holly and Rose Pixie. Absolutely no words to say. Nor do these pics can shout out loud how beautiful they look. All three framed on 10/29/2015 from a local framer - Mario's Bay Frames.  I highly recommend this framer as he has good collection of frames and matting. To top it, he also has an artistic eye.

The best compliment was when my husband was awe-struck seeing Frame Spring Queen pic. His expression and words were "Did you make this ? " :) Now I am all charged to work on my WIP - BlueBell Pixie.

Spring Queen - Framed on 10/29/2015

Enjoy the pictures just as I do. :)

Spring Queen - No words to say

I am literally falling short of words to describe how beautiful my third Mira - "Spring Queen" looks like. Until I started on her bead work, I was happy how she was but once I started beading, I was literally ecstatic. She is an absolute pleasure to stitch her. I started beading on her on 2/8/2014 around 10:00 AM and with occasional breaks I completed all her beading by around 11:30 PM. Just couldn't put her down to some other day once I started to bead her. She is absolute stunning piece, and if I get a chance to get it framed from Jill Rensel, then I am sure there is nothing in this world to compare / describe her beauty. And it will truly become as my 6 yr old said - "She is sparkling as nothing in this world"...... :) Here are some pics of her.

Spring Queen - Have to admire her royal look

A beautiful bouquet for Spring Queen
Now that I am done with Spring Queen, I will most likely move on to Blue Bell pixie while I place my order for Buttercup pixie and Biancebella. Both are very vibrant colors. Just so getting hooked up to Mira / Nora charts. But no regrets.

Happy Stitching..... :)

Spring Queen - Moving on to her face and hair

Here is the latest pic of Spring Queen. I was hoping to complete her in 2013 but obviously she wanted to be pampered a little even in 2014. I have to cover up a little bit in the center(missing one row of it) on one of the leaves areas. I hope it is NOT obvious.

Spring Queen - Thanks Giving Weekend update

Though it has been a while that I posted my update on Spring Queen, there is not much progress to be shown until this past Thanks Giving weekend. Here is what I have so far on Spring Queen. Most of the part above the ribbon is what I have done in the last couple of days and I would say 60%  of it was done just during the Thanks Giving weekend alone. If you notice, there is an unstitched part at the center and I left it like for that for now is because I did some mistake in that section and I have to figure out on how to correct it or cover it. Atleast I isolated the mistake only to that portion of it. I hope I will not make that mistake to be too obvious once I am done. :)

I hope all the Xstitchers out there had a wonderful Thanks Giving and were able to spend enough time on stitching your favourite piece.

Happy Stitching.

Spring Queen - Back in action

With Holly completion, it is now time for Spring Queen to come back to action. This definitely is a beautiful piece and also a very time consuming project....well no complains but all Miras are like that......So here is the Spring Queen before I put it aside to complete Rose Pixie and Holly Pixie.I only hope Mr Frog does NOT visit me while I am working on this beauty. ;)

Spring Queen - Moving on slowly

So here is my Spring Queen progress. Have completed most of her yellows below her ribbon. Now moving on to the upper side. Can't seem to visualize her beauty.....I guess it comes out as a suprised once beading is done.

Off to Joannes to buy some stash for my other Pixies - Rose and Holly. Discount sale going on....Yippie.

Spring Queen - Weekend update

I was working on this queen for the last two weekends. Quite impressive with the progress so far. I have to attribute the speed to stiching with two hands(One on top of the fabric and other at the bottom). Was working on the yellows on the bottom left area.

Spring Queen - Woke up from pause mode :)

It has been couple of weeks that I have done any stitching. Got very busy schedules offlate that I didn't have enought time to stitch but I am happy for what I am doing. Finally got some time this weekend and enjoyed working again on Spring Queen and watching movies. Comparing with the last update of Spring Queen, I am pretty happy with the number of stitches I added to her. Worked on her ribbon and more yellows on the bottom left of her dress.

I forgot to take a picture of my latest update of the Queen, and I have to wait for the week end to have the pic taken.

As a side kick, am planning to get the stash for Holly and Rose so that I can work on it while I am on the go. :)

Happy Stitching........ :)

Spring Queen - Going green

Haven't been doing that much of the stitching.....Just few stitches occasionally. However, just wanted to record the status of my "Spring Queen". So here it. I know the stitches are all over the place. Hope they are fit in together(like a zigsaw puzzle). LOL........

Spring Queen - as of 5/2/2012

Sometimes I feel like I need to buy new stash to kit up new projects. But then holding off myself from buying anything new.

On non stitching news update, I wish the weekdays go little slower. Yes I said correctly only. I want the weekdays to pass by slowly but to me it seems like days are racing with time. :(

Happy Stitching..... :)

Spring Queen - Tired of stitching the greens

The last three days I have been stitching the greens on the left side of the dress that now I am too tired to do any more green. So for a change I started working on her dress lace with a nice lavender color (which infact is eye pleasing after seeing so much greens the last couple of days).

Now I am wondering how the heck in this world will I be able to do all those yellowish greens on her dress.....Hum......I guess this project is going to be on and off the shelf once I start doing her yellows.....Anyhow, I will post of picture of her once I complete her dress lace.

On a side note, after reading some of the experiences of the stitchers in Mirabilia Facebook group, even I tried to stitch with two hands, left hand on the top and right hand on the bottom of the fabric, and couldn't believe how fast it is. Also by stitching like that, my hands, fingers and back are not getting as sore as they used to be while I was stitching with one hand. Now I don't feel like stitching with one hand. :)

Happy Stitching.....:)

Spring Queen - update on her dress

Last weekend I was able to do quite a bit of stitching on Spring Queen - Especially left side of her dress and the ribbons. My stitching was all over the place and was literally praying that the ends meet with out the need for frogging.

Luckily, so far it is going good. So here is the update that I have so far.

Spring Queen - working on her ribbon

Got bored doing her face and neck and to top it, I ended frogging all her face. :( So moved on to her dress and was working on her ribbon. Enjoyed working on those satin ribbons.......

Spring Queen - A little more progress

Yesterday and today I did little bit stitching on Spring Queen. Almost done half her face and realized I was off by one row to the left. Huh....can't take chances to cover it up......so will have to frog her face. :(

Here is what I have so far. This pic was taken before I did the neck line and face.

Sleeping Beauty - Final Makeover

Finally I got my "Sleeping Beauty" back from Michaels and am super excited to see it hanging in my front room. Coolest thing is that my DH appreciated seeing the framed piece. (This is something unusual and obviously that added more to my excitment.

So here it is......my first Mira that I started.

Sleeping Beauty - Started 6/2006 and completed on 1/2012.

Cinderalla - Final Makeover

Spring Queen - Working on hands and sleeves

I thought I should not stitch until I reach my goal but then the stress levels are too much that I feel like stitching as a sort of stress reliever. So today I have been working on Spring Queen's hands and Sleeves. Here is an update on the queen. Actually I did a little bit more that what the picture is showing. :)

Sleeping Beauty - ready for framing

Sleeping Beauty(my never ending project) is now finally complete and is ready for framing. Here are some of the pics of the pattern.

Lots of beading on her dress

Some more beading.....beading....Gosh that's a lot

Spring Queen - WIP now in progress

Now that the Waterlily pixie is out of my way, I will be working on Spring Queen. This is the only WIP right now on hand. Probably when I get some time and chance, might collect the stash for Holly and Tigerlily pixies. Until then it will be only Spring Queen progress.

So here is what I have so far. This is one of my favorites (well that's a lie....pretty much all of the Miras or Nora Corbett's patterns are my favorites). Eager to get this finished, framed and decorated on my wall......

Mirabilia - Sleeping Beauty

It was back in 2006 that suddenly my thoughts turned towards cross-stitching(my hidden hobby). Kudos to blogspot.com that provided a channel for fellow bloggers to share they master pieces. Some of these pieces were so beautiful that I was immediately inspired to do some cross-stiching. Bought quite a few kits(not sure of the company names) from Ebay. Two such huge projects that I bought were Mirabilia designs - Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella way back in 2006 without realizing how big the projects were nor how long it takes to complete.

Back in June 2006, started off  working on the Sleeping Beauty. Was working on and off on this project till May 2007 or so. And then days became quite busy with my son's arrival that there is no time for my hobbies.......So here is where I left off by May 2007 on Sleeping Beauty.....

Below pic shows the bottom right portion of the unfinished work.

It was only in April 2011(yep exactly after 4 years) that I restarted this unfinished piece.......As I  write this post, here is the picture that is close to completed  piece. Was so excited to see the piece come this far. My first ever big piece that I have worked upon........Truely enjoyed the peice and glad the way it came out.

Unfortunately I ran out of thread for two colors.....so there is 15 min work pending on the bottom right corner near the flowers).

Will be working on beading and with that the piece should be ready to be framed. Eager to see the finished piece.......

Happy Stitching......
